Banks are required to donate a certain amount of money back into the community where they exist. Alot of the DC banks donate to the schools.

Required being the key word. Oil companies donate a lot too. They danged sure donate a lot in taxes. lol

I never said I liked oil companies better than banks. I use both of their services.... All I was doing is trying to point out that the banking industry has a much higher profit margin than the oil companies and you disputed that. I thought I may be wrong so I asked where you got that information. Your response was..."that's how I see it." And you like banks better than oil companies...lol SO now I know where you got it from...lol.

Nope, I'm a poor Army guy. Not all republicans are wealthy....you are another example of somoene believing that because someone is republican they are wealthy.

Actually my mom does have some oil wells on our land but that doesn't affect me.

What are the seesters going to do...beat me down with a "yeah that" sign? LOL

A few years ago I saw a report that the Democrats got more of their money from rich fat cats then Republicans did and Republicans got a higher percentage of their money from working stiffs at 10 and 20 bucks then Democrats did.

I believe that. Republicans are not all wealthy. Republicans are just people that for the most part believe in working hard, earning a wage and keeping some of what they earn. They believe that they can choose how they spend their money better than Uncle Sugar can whether you are making 20,000 or 200,000 a year.
