Shoulda let some of those "nasty" women in prison get to her.....If Latourno went to prison so should she. She either knows somebody, or "smokes stogies" as well as Monica..........this just is wrong, wrong, wrong, There ought to be a board where by she looses her teaching certificate. As I understand it - she will be able to teach just not "bedroom etiquate" to children. She will be teaching at college in no time I bet. I thought women like men had to registar as "sexual preditors".......there are plenty of men that have to registar and probably are far less innocent than she is...I didn't hear anything about her having to be branded a "SP" for the rest of her life....sumthin not right here.

There were several instances in junior high where teachers got caught sleeping with students. It's nothing new.

A very interesting series of replies to this issue. As a high level testerone adolescent I would have welcomed an experienced teacher in the art of pleasure towards Lovemaking.

Perchance as a fertile adolescent Female I could have wanted similar coaching; but the purity of the child bearer has and will always be foremost in the relevence of the concept of what can be considered as being either a crime or an experience.

Thanks, Pootsy - I call BS on that one too. I don't care if she's Miss Universe, she needs to be treated as all the sexual predators are treated. If that means jail time, then she needs jail time. If that means permanent registration, then she needs that. It sounds like they're being soft on her because they don't want to drag the victim through the mud in order to convict her. Remember, if they try her and don't convict, she walks.

There are a couple of things I'd like to see come out of this:
1. She loses her teaching certificate in ALL states
2. She must register as a sexual predator
3. No matter whether she serves time or not, this should be entered as a felony on her record permanently.

The news story said she will forever lose her teaching cetificate and must register as a sex offender.
