Would you be so willing to spread around all these "atta boys" if you knew and ADULT had been screwing around with your daughter or neice??...I don't think so - this over exhuberence of testosterone is getting to the point where ya'll need to take a shower and cool off.

I know you are just having fun here and I think my sense of humor is just as sick as most - I hope you have not missed the point here....this must be why the parents let this biotch off scott free......they were afraid the jury would see it like ya'll are seeing it.......Sad that justice could be sold off so easily...............Boy aint America great

I’m sure that was a big part of it that the prosecutor doesn’t want to admit to publicly.

I guess that would depend on whether a female or male jury were seated. A male jury might react like we have here, unless they took their job very seriously. A female jury would likely convict her to the nastiest prison there was. 'Course, she hasn't been convicted yet - never will, so it's all a moot point. By not arresting her, charging and trying her, we're sending the message to any other teacher-deviate out there, that it's OK - we understand.

It only takes one opposing juror to have a mistrial and chances of an all female jury are slim to none. A lot of times after a mistrial charges get dropped rather than going to the expense of another trial. Deals are done to insure a conviction, even on a lesser charge, instead of risking the accused getting off scott free.

The judge said she couldn't profit from the sale of her story or public appearences.

I’m going to get beat up here, but that’s nothing new. I don’t think that the lack of prison time here is that big of a deal. The whole criminal punishment thing is too lax across the board. Consider the only thing that makes this a crime is the boy was a couple of years too young. It’s not like he was age four or beaten within an inch of his life. This thing got a lot of attention while a lot of violent, disgusting crimes didn’t raise an eyebrow. Heck, I don’t think a punk that breaks into and loots your home gets any worst than probation, even with a prior record. Murder might get you 10 to 20 years. When I look at it that way, jail time for this woman does seem a bit extreme. We can’t even get a death penalty for scum like the Carr brothers for example.

Ok - I'm not going to beat you up. Far from it. I don't disagree with what you said.....I just don't like it. It speaks volumes about our "justice" (or "injustice" might be better) system. The people that need to be sent away and the key permanently lost are still out here. Doesn't seem there's a lot that a slick attorney can't fix if somebody comes up with the money. Heck, just look at the website for registered sex offenders. That's not even ALL that should be there. Some, for one reason or other, fall through the cracks and never register. And nobody does anything.

I don't disagree that the boy was only a couple of years away from "being of age", but I think that he would never have met this horny broad if she wasn't a teacher in his school. Which makes it wrong, wrong, wrong. Under any other circumstances, I probably wouldn't have such a strong emotional opinion about it. We just can't let teachers get away with that!

My sons may well have been sexually active at 16 - they didn't tell Mom every little detail. But the thought of them having sex with a person who was in a position of some power of them makes me just as sick as Monica Lewinsky. It's just wrong. The media doesn't help, though. I'm sure there is lots of this that never makes it to the news.

OK. deep breath. peaceful place.

I just want to know what was WRONG with that kid?

Back in the day, which was a Wednesday by the way, I'd have shagged her rotten and not told anyone about it for YEARS!
