Cbs lost the chance of ever having me watch their news after "rathergate" when Big Dan tried to influence the election with his false documents...

Aiding and abetting illegal aliens is a felony under federal law Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii).
And this law has a six year statute of limitations and companies currently violating these laws can be prosecuted up to six years in the future. Or so I've been told.

Quote:
(A) Any person who—
(i) knowing that a person is an alien, brings to or attempts to bring to the United States in any manner whatsoever such person at a place other than a designated port of entry or place other than as designated by the Commissioner, regardless of whether such alien has received prior official authorization to come to, enter, or reside in the United States and regardless of any future official action which may be taken with respect to such alien;

(iv) encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law;

(B) A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs— (iii) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) during and in relation to which the person causes serious bodily injury (as defined in section 1365 of title 18) to, or places in jeopardy the life of, any person, be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both;

Very good, you can find the federal code plus cut and paste it. Now how does that apply to banking? Would it apply if it was raining and their tail lights were turned off?

So a bank doesn't need to observe federal law? See I wasn't aware of that I thought they were bound by the same laws as the rest of us. Silly me!

I'm not a lawyer but it's looks too me as if A(iv) seems to fit quite well. They're encouraging illegals to reside in the US knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.

Serously, all the more reason to watch them.

Personally I don't think Big Dan was trying to influence the election as he was trying out scope people but that is neither here nor there and we can probably get at least a dozen opinions on it. Pro and Con.

Regardless, CBS was forced to implement controls and processes to have a tighter verfication process, their journalistic integrety took a hit and Rather took a fall. Maybe he didn't fall far enough for some people but he fell. More importantly as a system, they know the consequences of not doing ALL the research and verification before going with a story.

Right now I would think we would get a truer picture out of them than any of the other broadcast news services.

I watch them all - I like CNN - I have been watchin Fox just to amuse AOO - what I see is very republican reporting........ very "right"........ I have been watching Geraldo do his stars and stipes tap dance....... hell the had the military so pissed at him at one time that I'm surprised he went back - but Geraldo I feel is a joke as a journalist. He's a sensationalist at best. Him and Al Capones hidden treasure - amoment of infamy..... kinda like poor ole Dan. Everyone still respects whoever they choose to watch. Why is it so important to trash what folks watch? Hell they are all lyin to ya - if the truth was really known we'd be scared to death probably! The soldiers only know a very minute part of what's goin on - they take orders nothing more. The govt isn't gonna tell you everything they know....... that would be dumb - so the best you can do it to tune in to what you want to hear. One of the networks is fory you!

Call me when you see a bank's armored car ferrying people across the border into the US or driving them to work. Otherwise post some banking laws that shows what the bank is doing is illegal.

Get over it, they're here and the ENTIRE government doesn't seem to care as much as you do. Hell the first time they cross, the *crime* has the same legal seriousness as driving without a seatbelt. Another little convient fact you don't want to admit.

Assuming you don't have ownership in a check cashing store, and since they are here to everyone's chagrin-why would you not want them to have a banking relationship? "Everyone" seems to want to bitch about the crime "they" attract, seems to me that having their money in a bank would discourage them walking around with huge wads of cash...therefore maybe, even if just hopefully reducing the incentive for at least one person to not bust and rob them, shooting them in the process and creating another drain on the healthcare system.

Personally I haven't seen a single new station that doesn't dance to the Right or Left. It's all a matter of where you stand. If you lean to the Right then all but Fox are bias. If you lean to the Left Fox is the only one bias.

Calling Geraldo a joke as a journalist is an insult to O'reilly. IMO Rivera is a scum and .....oh don't get me started today please.

Yeah I know Oriely probably relies on Geraldo for his "in depth" reporting of the spin factor - and his knack at stopping it................ they all have good info - problem is ya just don't know which info to hang your hat on and the truth is if you hang your hat on any of em - you are pretty much an idiot. So no one actually knows for sure - but don't worry the govt will let ya know when they want ya to know.
