| WEST OF WHERE?? You know we had a little "Chicken Little" issue earlier this year. Is this for real?

| I heard it on the radios Emergency Broadcast System message. I did hear Finny county was in the warning but did hear what all counties. I told you the 2007 flood was coming. I could tell something was different than normal. Normally while detecting in the winter I can get down about 3-4" and get past the frozen moisture. I've dug down as deep as 10" and still hit solid ice. The ground is unusually saturated more than I've seen it in the past. So now. Hows your flood insurance?

| Let's hurry up and get the SEC built in the Park, so we can have the "water park" too! ![]() |

| Imagine having the melting accelerated by a moderately heavy 'rain event'.... I remember posting on another thread about the 400,000 acre feet of water (still snow) in the Arkansas River watershed between the border and below John Martin Res. A 'rain event' on that snow alone would unleash a mile wide AND 20 foot high wall of water that's 31 miles long that must travel through Dodge City.

| I still don't think it will happen, Lurker! County road flooding, and 31 miles of 20 foot high water coming down the river are two completely opposite things. Next, I suppose you will be putting out a "tsunami warning"! :green: ![]() |

FWIW, I hope we experience a gradual melting and a 'rain event' doesn't happen.
