NY Hillary now sounds like she's from the south...

Hillary Clinton Fakes Southern Accent: Mocks South at Church Rally

By Jackson Simpson
Mar 5, 2007

New York Senator Hillary Clinton felt so insecure about her trip to the American south this weekend that she dusted off hubby Bill Clinton and dragged the former president along for some very important support. While it seems fairly obvious that any Hillary strategy in a 2008 general election will write off the south, she seems quite concerned about Barack Obama and his recent surge.

Even though it is seriously early, Clinton's numbers with Democrat voters are falling and Obama is closing the gap. Newsbusters reports that Andrea Mitchell, while narrating the segment on the political duel between Obama and Hillary in Selma, Alabama this weekend portrayed Obama as having authentic appeal, while picturing Hillary resorting to heavy-handed political tactics.

But that heavy hand turned to flat out mocking with part of her speech that has been placed online. Clinton, once a resident of the Governor's mansion in Arkansas, tried to fake a southern accent and it came across as a cheap and nasty ploy. There is but a clip online, and one can expect her lampooning the south will be skipped by any of the networks, but she is apparently quoting from the old Gospel Hymm 'I Don't Feel Noways Tired.'

Except Hillary mocks it up with the fake drawl that came across like this: “Aww don’t feel noways tired. I’ve come too faarrr from where I started frum…Aww culd have listened all day luung."

What a sad commentary on the woman that wishes to be president. While Bill Clinton could pull this off as he still has a bit of his accent, Hillary sounds like a really horrific cartoon character making fun of the South. If she is this panicked and ridiculous with a slight Barack bump how awful will she turn if she ever falls behind?

You can decide for yourself...here is a clip of this.. It makes me want to puke. I wonder when she talks to Chinese people if she says.."herrow, my name if hirrary crinton"....GRRRR. This is pandering at it's best...

Gays may have a friend in the white house...

Hillary Clinton pledges White House partnership with gay activists

(Washington-AP) March 5, 2007 - Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has told the nation's leading gay rights group that she wants a partnership with gays if elected president.

The New York Democrat made the keynote speech Friday to the Human Rights Campaign. Neither Clinton's presidential campaign nor her Senate office announced the address.

When asked Monday about the lack of publicity for the event, Clinton said, "You'll have to ask my campaign."

In the speech, she pledged to maintain the close working relationship that helped defeat a federal amendment to ban same-sex marriage. And told the group it would have "an open door to the White House" if she's elected.

Clinton also said she opposes the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy regarding gays that was instituted during her husband's presidency.

On the contrary.. Hillary is pandering to her audience. Ann is not trying to be someone she isn't. She calls a spade a spade...or a faggot a faggot in her case...lol Plus Ann isn't running for any office.

This is just a non-issue.

Whenever I'm in a different part of the country or even just around someone with an accent for any real length of time I pick up the accent and begin to talk like they do. If I'm in front of a group I want that group to identify with me and I'll do nothing to stop that change in my speaking. It's just good connection with an audience.

I teach my speech class that very same thing. Do what you can to make a connection to the audience. If you are trying to teach them it's always best to promote yourself and speak correctly but if you are trying to connect with them, trying to gain acceptance from them or trying to get them to connect to an idea then use the same language and style of speaking they do.

So, have at that dead horse.

That’s nice Wordy but it doesn’t look like what she was doing.

But go ahead and spin it any way you want.

I teach the class and that ONE clip they use shows me she's reading a very southern quote from a VERY southern person verbatim. The rest of the speech isnt' that thick but you keep looking at it like you're told to.

I didn't say anything about why they both stage hunt. Just that they do. Speaking of Ann - haven't seen much coverage of her foot in mouth episode on the fair and balanced network - but I am watchin that network in an effort to be fair and balanced!

Any length of time? Dude...she was there for a few hours. When she visits the middle east do you think she will come back speaking with an Arabic accent? That's as lame as AlGore.

Takes about 10 minutes to pick up a sountern accent or an australian one. And like I said if I'm TRYING to connect I'll pracice it before I get there.

So get that stick and get after this horse.
