A lot of that has to do with the business owners and the way they run businesses. In Dodge City it seems different than other places. They don't really want your business, but if you come in and buy from them they don't mind. There is no such thing as service anymore in Dodge. It's more like....this is how I run my business, if you don't like it, there's the door.

Sounds like Bad Habit also. They are very willing to tell people to leave, they have enough business they way it is.

I walked out of Bad Habits because I couldn't get waited on, and I will never go back. It is amazing that a good restaurant, with good food, good service, and good prices, could not be a "gold mine" in Dodge City!! Simple rules of business, but for some reason, they can't figure it out!! And they don't want you giving them any pointers, either!!

My sissy didn't get her kiss from one of the travel agency owners there either. Her trip down here was a fiasco from before the plane outta dodge got off the ground. Travel agents response???............ oh well!!!.......... really makes the older folks wanna book thru the airlines - IF they knew how. Just a damn same in my oppinion!

Ya gotta remember she's 76, independent and that generation only used travel agents. She doesn't know anything about computers - doesn't wanna know. It's how they grew up - next time she'll go thru the airlines directly - she got stung pretty bad and had no sympathy whatsoever from the agent. Thought bout callin myself - I still might but I just thought it was a damn shame the "tough shit" response she got. Hell she even got screwed commin back to dodge - most of that was weather but at least a listening ear would have made her at least feel better.

What I meant, good sister, was that you could have booked it for her over the internet. Then she could have bitched at you! Would have cost you a few extra drinks, but you woulda known she was in "good hands"!
