| The original post was an inaccurate portrait of real events spun with the intent to further inflame people over the immigration issue. Not that this issue needs much to further inflame it but judging by the responses it worked. The original poster then accused me of twisting his post, but they were not his own words. A business law professor once told me the best way to avoid a slander/libel charge was not to say "so and so is a dirtbag" but to say "in my opinion, so and so is a dirtbag." Regardless of how distasteful one may find someone else's opinion, the opinion is hard to disprove because our opinions are a function of our individual experiences and exposures and they should be respected. Passing around internet legends on the other hand....................

| The other day I called my local gas company to pay my gas bill and instead of getting the usual "For English Press 1" "For Spanish Press 2" I got a live lady saying "Comó esta, usted". my reply of course was "Inglès por favor" to which she replied "LLamada detrás el mièrcoles, por favor". Which ticked me off, how in the heck in this country with 280,000,000 english speakers am I being told I have to call 5 days later to pay my bill over the phone in english. This is Arizona mind you where we supposable have one of the toughest english laws in the nation, I shouldn't be forced to have to learn a second language that isn't even native to my heritage in my own nation just to pay my fricken bill. If people want to speak German, Spanish, Swedish or what have you in there home, amongst there friends or what have you they should but we need to have a national singular language so business and government can continue unhindered. |

| It's good you knew that meant to call back 5 days later, because I would have said, did you just say?

| Actually it meant call back wednesday. However because of my standards for a degree here at ASU I have to become paper fluent in a foreign language and I chose spansih because I hear it so much I might as well try and understand what in the world they are saying and be able to reply back. |
