I always thought he was a little wierd. I think his avid listeners don't care - it was a stupid comment but he does a lot of good with his ranch -

Jesse Jackson and the "rainbow push" is all over this - Al Sharpton probably had an orgasim due to the joy of all this but overall - I think he has learned a lesson - enough is enough to me.

My world doesn't pivot on what Don Imus thinks or says. He's not that powerful in my books - I lump him in there with Rush............. they both say some smart things and some dumb things............ big deal

What Imus said was stupid - but I really don't give a dang what he says anyway.

But - have you every tuned into BET and caught a few things that are said there? Some pretty offensive stuff has been said - be it on a sit com, talk show, music video, etc - but I guess it is OK. I guess it is OK to have the Black Award type shows - but heaven help up is we had a White only award show.

I'm not an Imus fan.


When I heard about this my first thoughts were, "Define Nappy" and prove to me that even one of the players he was referring to have never used the word "Ho" and I'll think about it being a problem.

Then I was listening to the people who are up on arms over this and wondering how long Imus will have to kiss Jessie Jackson's ass and if he'll have to use tongue to get out of it.

They are so busy making their own version of "separate but equal" that they can't see the forest for the trees. They need to crack down on their own culture for the very same things they are getting upset about with these "celebrities." There's Jet magazine and B.E.T. geared toward a single race of people and if there were a Caucasian equivalent they’d be labeled racist. (Although I wouldn't watch a W.E.T channel because there's only so much Blue Collar Comedy I can handle.)

Rap music refers to women as worse than nappy headed hos. Black comedians can do a white guy "voice" and turn into a stereotype and all anyone does is laugh.

The simple truth is that everyone has some racist part of them. If they say they don't then they are either lying to everyone else or deluding themselves. Sometimes something offensive slips out and it's not something to get crazy about.

Everyone needs to accept that everyone has their moments of stupidity and go on with their lives.

WORDS have power but they only have as much power as the person hearing those words gives to them. If someone calls me an Fing white boy and I laugh then I’ve taken all the power out of their intended insult and they go somewhere else.

We all also need to stop trying to force everyone to accept our personal culture and focus on the things that make us the same instead of the things that make us different.

Seriously, though. Where/when does his show come on the radio? Satellite or regular? Never heard of him before...

Imitation is the highest form of flattery... and Imus ...trying to be funny ...only said something that blacks say about themselves...but a white person ...God forbid....such a thing is unacceptable.....sounds like reverse racism to me...

Until they show more respect for themselves....till the Rainbow bunch ....can clean up the black youth.... and white youth (Rap).... No one should be fired for it

His radio show is syndicated in several larger markets around the country and is simulcast on the MSNBC cable channel.

Mr. Imus is a very gifted, talented guy with a huge brain. Maybe not everyone agrees with everything he says and does and promotes, but that is his right to say what he wants. What he said in this case was meant as a joke - he even chuckled afterwards. Would anyone have caused this much controversy if he said "pasty white chicks"?

Regardless of how ya took it, look at all the news channels talking about him. Just think of how many people that equates to as new listeners, who just want to hear what he will say next...

I didn't think there could even be anything more annoying than the media coverage of Anna Nichole Smith's freakin baby, but this story got old from day one.

I'm sure this will get beat for all its worth.
