Showers And Thunderstorms Will Precede The Snow Tonight And Friday Morning. The Precipitation Will Change Over To Snow From West To East On Friday...as Cold Air Filters Down Into Southwest Kansas. The Winds Will Initially Be East At 15 To 25 Mph...then Shift Northeast At 20 To 30 Mph With Gusts To 40 Mph Friday Afternoon. The Heaviest Snow Will Be Northwest Of A Hays To Ness City To Garden City To Johnson Line...the Snow Could Be Heavy At Times In This Area Along With Near Zero Visibility At Times In Blowing And Drifting Snow. Significant...but Lesser Amounts...of Snow Will Fall In The Elkhart To Liberal To Dodge City To Larned Swath. Strong Winds Could Also Reduce Visibilities At Time In This Swatch. | There was frost on the wheat this am when I drove in for work and the wheat is in the boot. So maybe kissin this wheat harvest goodbye. And we finally had a nice stand of wheat for the first time in years. But as the saying goes, if you have no luck you'd have no luck at all. That's me!!!! |
