And Somebunny else is, too!! "A series of ill-advised decisions and a bit of bad luck landed a pair of Hutchinson men in Reno County jail Saturday night. Trent Stephenson, 24, and David Wheeler, 27, were jailed Saturday for child endangerment when a beer can, allegedly tossed from the passenger window of their car, struck a pickup truck driven by an off-duty sheriff's deputy.
The deputy called police and reported he suspected the men were intoxicated. He then followed the vehicle until police arrived to pull the men over. Officers discovered two children riding as passengers in the back seat - one Stephenson's son, the other Wheeler's.
Police asked Wheeler if he had been drinking, to which he replied that he "had two beers." A preliminary breath test showed that Wheeler's blood alcohol content was 0.117 percent. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
When the car's tag number was called in to dispatch, officers discovered the tag was registered to a Ford - while the vehicle was a Chevy. When the officer asked to see the vehicle's proof of insurance, Wheeler handed police an insurance card for a Saturn.
Officers also found an open can of beer inside a cozy underneath the passenger seat, as well as another unopened can of beer.
Wheeler was booked on suspicion of DUI, child endangerment, no liability insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle and displaying an illegal license plate. He was released on $1,050 bond.
Stephenson was booked for littering, illegal transportation of alcohol and child endangerment."
There was no luck in this situation at all. Somebody upstairs had it all figured out. These guys are worthless - as human beings and as parents. Hopefully, if they are not married to the children's mother, they will lose their custody rights and only receive monitored visitation. How stupid.
