My car gets excellent gas milegae......I have a mini cooper; I'm not demanding high amounts of gasoline..........

However, even thought I'm not demanding high amounts of gasoline, I pay the price right along with those who DO demand high amounts of gasoline..........

The price is high now because the oil companies "say" they have problems with some refineries or some refineries were late on the switch from heating oil to gasoline, thus creating a shortage of gasoline. I think if we cut down our use of gasoline that there still wouldn't be an over-supply of gasoline. The oil companies would just find more refineries that had problems to continue to manipulate the prices so that they can continue to have their billions of dollars of profits that they have gotten used to.
