All I can say is...please be patient. This is out of the DCPD's hands at this time - KBI is running the show, which they should be, for a number of reasons. Evidence has to be processed, which takes time. Remember that this is the USA - innocent until proven guilty ring a bell?

No one was under surveilance or snuck out under anyone's noses. Trust me - I want the person who did this, whoever it turns out to be, brought to justice as much, if not more, than most people - Erin was a good friend of mine and she is already missed dearly. While a quick arrest might satisfy the community, it might not be the best for putting a clear, concise case together for court.

While that may be the ideal and what is applied to those with plenty of money, and those with connections to people like prosecutors, police, etc...The majority of the people arrested are treated as guilty until they can prove themselves to be innocent.

If the KBI are callin the shots - which if they are headin up the investigation - they are callin the shots AND who's makin em. Don't blame your local PD - truth is until there is a suspect named.............. there is no suspect. The guy coulda been there but left her alive - just cause they might have had a thing goin (good or bad) doesn't mean he's the one that did the deed. Ya want a tight case? Ya gotta have a tight investigation. Investigations are often tighter on cops just cause they are cops. It's not a cake walk for them when they are guilty of a crime. Often it's much harder on a cop than the typical saturday night shooter. Poeple expect more of a cop and thier punishment is often harsher than others...................... as it should be I guess. I know I expect lots of cops but they do have higher domestic rates than your average joe blow

The paper said KBI is doing the investigation, so it would be up to them to make an arrest, not the DC cops. I'll bet that if a cop is a suspect that they are doing it totally by the book and KBI probably won't arrest him unless they have a solid case. That's just my guess. Heck, Dennis Rader was hiding in plain sight for years before he was snagged.

I'm praying for her family. It sounds like they've been through a lot lately.
