The KBI is running the show

The KBI is doing the investigation according to the Globe, not the DCPD. They are the ones making the decisions, and who are controlling the release of information.

I agree that stealing a car with OnStar wasn't a smart move.

You know I see where each case is different, but I seem to think that we should be informed if a criminal's on the loose. I can remember a stabbing a couple of years back and while that person didn't do it, (he was acquitted this past month) the police and the media sure didn't have a problem sharing his name and photo. I can remember quite a few articles that painted this individual's crime, which was first degree attempted murder. I can think of other instances where that's been the case too. I just don't think that they are protecting and serving the public by withholding this information. They, either the KBI or DCPD sure weren't protecting the people of CO when this nutjob was driving down the wrong side of the interstate and not being watched more carefully!

How did he get away from surveilance?

Chris's Myspace page

After the OJ maneuver, his guilt is getting more and more self-substantiated.

Lot's of people consoling Chris (recently) on his Myspace page. If I were the KBI, I'd be lloking at his private messages to them to see what they were consoling him about. The timeline looks suspicious/coincidental. I would be looking to see if he was telling them that his girlfriend was stepping out on him. Might establish motive.

...but then again, I'm not a cop...so what do I know?

If you think the DCPD doesn't control, to some extent, what got or gets printed, you definitely have the wool pulled securely over your eyes!

My point exactly! It seems the police officer is getting special treatment that the average citizen wouldn't have received.

Bubba-
Why don't you give the DCPD the phone number to the power plant where you work so the next time there is a situation, they can consult with you seeing as you have all the answers.

If you don't like the way the officers of Dodge are putting their lives on the line for $30,000.00 a year for your ungrateful A**, I heard they are accepting applications at 110 West Spruce.

How often do we have homicides in this community? How can you compare the events that have happened and the way things are being handled whether the suspect is an officer or a citizen to every day traffic infractions. The fact that an officer is the suspect is irrelevant, this kind of thing doesn't happen everyday. If the suspect was a normal citizen it would have been handled the same way, that is why they have these people called detectives and police officers. They gather information and put it together to solve cases, they usually don't dissemenate much of their information to....oh, I don't know, power plant operators!?

Let's not be a hypocrit, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work at a power plant either last time I checked. What makes you think you are so special that you need law enforcement sensative information. If you are that desperate to get the scoop of what's going on in Dodge again, applications are being accepted at 110 West Spruce.

I would like to commend the Dodge City Police Department for the way they have handled this case among many others and thanks for putting your lives on the line day in and day out for this community.

I'm pretty sure the victim didn't even make $30,000 per year and she gave her life to a low-life @sshole. Since you seem to know what I, as a citizen of Dodge City needs to know, maybe you can explain to me how a fleeing suspect in a murder investigation is law enforcement sensitive. I would think if law enforcement officials were really interested in catching a fleeing suspect they would put out the information to the public. Also, if there is a person on the loose that has killed somebody, the public should have a right to know that they might be in danger.

As far as power plant operations, if I didn't know what I was doing this huge "bomb" that I am operating would get away from me and explode and put your @ss in the dark.

I never compared what is happening to every day traffic infractions, so how you pulled that out of thin air is a mystery to me. If you think a normal citizen in this situation would be handled the same way, maybe you need to go back and read the post by deuce91, it is in this thread just a few posts above this one.

If you have a problem with me personally, you can come on out to where I work because I will be there all night.

First off the BIG difference with the case mentioned above and the one now is attempted murder and murder. This one, the victim was not able to share any information. There is probably a lot less evidence to compile and investigating to do when they victim can identify the suspect so disclosing more information to the public faster is a little easier. When there is no one to identify the suspect, there's probably a lot more information to gather without nosy people getting in the way, I don't know, just a guess, but hey I'm not a rocket scientist so what do I know?

That is pretty obvious by your attitude and your reasoning.
