i'd say this lawsuit has more merit than the lady who sued mcdonald's because her coffee was too hot. what if the stashed weed went to a drivethru order, the family got home, and as some families do, everyone goes and does dinner elsewhere in the home and child consumes the pot or takes the pipe to school and gets expelled because of the no tolerance policy. Not sayin that they should sue, but i can see where the argument will be. The folks are out for money.

I'll give ya that, Drifter, but my thought is that people shouldn't win lawsuits based on what might have happened, but what DID happen. There was no realistic way the manager could have known this idiot was bringin' his stash and lighter to work - and putting it in a happy meal for safe keeping? Come on..............

Yeah, but shouldn't someone have looked in the happy meal box before it was stuffed with food and distributed?

true true, like i said i don't agree with it, but i see the arguing point the lawyer will make. neglect by the employee by putting it in there, neglect by the supervisor, and neglect by the owner and McDonald's as a whole.

and no someone shouldnt have to look in the happy meal box, the pot shouldnt have been there. mcdonalds is a fast pace business and if the box/bag was open my guess is the server just tossed a burger fries and a toy in without looking.

OK? What is this world coming to? It is not McDonald's fault. But, when you have to pay another 10 cents for a Big Mac, don't complain. You will be paying the compensation. Everyone complains about the cost of living. It is because of these outragous law suits.

This would never happen if families spent time together. We blame everyone else for our problems, then ignore the family and home.

I felt compelled to interject my opinion on who's to blame for the current inflation spiral.

Your last thought is correct, too. And we've encouraged parental neglect with screw'l welfare programs like 'no child left behind' and 'head start' and 'early head start' and 'early early head start' and screw'l lunch programs and screw'l breakfast programs and after screw'l programs that remove parental responsibilities.

In all instances, government is not your friend but simply a Big Brother.... with more money than you. However, big brother's run out of money and his borrowing ability is suspect. The net result is higher borrowing costs that preceed the now-weakening dollar.
