If you all only knew how many arrest or tickets are given in a months time for no Drivers License and no Insurance it would probably scare you.

The Dodge City Police Officers write lots of tickets for these two crimes each month. If you need the numbers the city court may be able to help you find out.

The horse track is in the county but the intersection leaving the track from Pheasant Road and 14th is in the city.

It does cause the police department a lot of traffic issues when the the racing is over.

As far as I know DCRP is in the county but since the city owns it the police department is responsible for all that happens there.

Correct, and they had to work together on this issue (city/co) . With him onboard, it was passed through after the easment was settled on paved entry. IF I remember the newspaper articles correctly. I only mention Kim, because thats the only Commish I remember taking stance with the owner, pushing everything through so he could open. Not picking on him, just what I got from reading.

TRAFFIC ISSUES??? HA...what about all the illegal gambling and Sunday drinking that goes on there? Is THAT an issue? Hell I might as well start running a casino out of my basement. Blackjack anyone?

Some do and some don't. Where I'm from (small town in Eastern KS) they have a problem in the county with Meth and we have a Libertarian prosecutor that cuts deals and won't prosecute the meth heads the sheriff brings in. There are laws that advocate counseling and such before prison..yeah right. Some in my town accept the status quo...some don't. My sister (who's 50) has started a local meth watch program, placing signs all over the county, raising awareness...talks to the local and state reps constantly, talks to law enforcement...and probably the best part she now has a conceal carry license...lol...I guess she doesn't accept the status quo. A lot of people do though because they bury their head in the sand and wait for the next episode of American Idol...

Are you saying that we should just accept things as they are?
