Everything about your statement gives rise to reasons why he's with her.

Let's not be too quick to judge.....obviously the guy has strong enough feelings (whether they're appropriate or not) for this girl to resign his position. I gotta know, though. I can't fathom why the parents would allow it to happen - they say they had no choice. I think there was choice....but not after it had gone this far.

I think the parents had a lot of choices. Slap a restraining order on his a@@! If the daughter runs away, file a runaway report and he gets caught with her, arrest him for haboring a runaway and put her in juvi. I wouldn't doubt that there was some level of "conditioning" by the teacher, just the same as what other sexual predators do. At least let the girl grow up and experience life before tying the knot.

I'm wondering though what the husband will say to his future coworkers. Sorry, my wife can't make it, she had to stay after school for detention or sports. Whoa...don't give her the beer, she's underage! Or at the prom, "so why did you bring your dad with you? Oops...I forgot that was your husband."

Her parents are just as sick as the guy. Obviously something went wrong a long long time ago for them to think in any way that this is ok. I guess they only do and go with what they know to be right. YUCK!
