| Oh, I realize that. It's just hard to watch the fabric of our society completely unravel because people who have no want to parent are having kids. And then we see people who would make terrific parents that aren't able to make babies naturally.

| You are right there KC - see it every day in my clinics. Got a 12 yo mother with a 14 yo dad. Who do ya prosecute? They are both kids. Just a shame. You can't regulate parenting but sure would be nice if more folks acted like parents instead of "friends".......... just my thought. Personally I see nothing too wrong with the basic playground scuffle - problem is they take guns and knives with em after school. I know lots of folks that could just use a good ass whoopin but the law says nope can't do that. Just the way it is - Isuppose it's for the best but the best I see commin out of all this is death and mayhem. Course that could be what got us all the rules to begin with.

| A) You can't get mad at the police for arresting the person who did the stabbing. The law is the law and it is not up to the police to decide the judgement, merely to enforce the law. Just because the kid got arrested does not mean he got punished, maybe you think that but the law doesn't and we are talking the law. The "bully", unless there is evidence proving he/she commited a crime, cannot be arrested. B) I would, and have taught, my children to restrain from violence until such time as it is warranted. If they got arrested, and I felt what they did was justified, then the ends justify the means. The point was to end the bullying and threats. If getting in trouble for their actions is the price to pay, then so be it. I learned, and have taught, to end it immediately. They threaten to hit you, you beat them with a book as soon as they open their mouth.
