Not if I have any say in the matter. My property taxes are high enough. I'm not positive, but I think Tee will also jump on my bandwagon.

Just throwin' this out for discussion............

Have City Fathers thought that perhaps they have limited themselves to the types of industry they have simply by allowing the types of industry there? I mean, the group building the plant in Scott City probably wants nothing to do with the political climate in Dodge City. Besides, DC has a bad, bad habit of allowing tax incentives to the wrong industries - would they have offered the same incentives to the firm building in Scott City?

Dick Michael, co-owner of Michael & Sons Enterprises in Chino Valley, Ariz., plans to start construction next spring on the new complex on a 1,040-acre plot he's in the process of buying north of Scott City.
...................
But he said he doesn't plan to seek local tax breaks.
Needing nearly two sections (that's two square miles for those who are in publick screw'l) of land is a very large operation. A WATER PARK is more compact and surely we can make work for 50-60 highly edumicated mployees. Think: AFFIRMATIVE ACTION.

Over the years Dodge City's made its bed and we all suffer in it.

The Company has already purchased the land in Scott County, formerly Krebs land and Feedyard. They are going to set up there business on the South side of what is now the feedyard. The ground and feedyard intern will be leased back for at least 2 years to the Krebs. My Brother-In-Law is the manager for Krebs and I had asked him about job security there and he say's that he is not in the least bit worried, says that nothing changes for him, business as usual. He thought that there was going to be a long term agreement with the new company to continue on after the 2 year lease is up.
