Good point...the JFK Dems are NOT the Democratic party of today. The party now panders to the left wing nuts like M. Moore. If the Republicans would shut down the borders and represent the people on immigration they would be in a better position than they are now. I think more people vote dem to vote against the war and against Bush than FOR a Democrat. I mean who says...raise my taxes, let gays marry and have benefits, cut the military, adopt an isolationist, turn the cheek when we are attacked policy? Who would vote for that? The people that usually vote Dem are Unions and people with their hands out...

If you noticed, Dean picked Blue Dog Dems to run in red districts last time around. Places were a far lefty won’t stand a chance. It was a smart move and got the Dems in the majority but they are having trouble getting some of their liberal stuff through. Now the Kos crowd is pushing to get the Blue Dogs out because they aren’t far enough left. If they succeed in doing that in the primaries it could cost them in the general. (Think Lieberman) Next year could be a real nail biter and if the Dems let the Kos folks get their way it might be their undoing.
