That's why we vote REPUBLICAN.....so things will not slip into a socialist abyss.

Streamside breakfast, camp coffee, wild trout, single malt scotch and no computers. That's my health plan.

Sounds like a plan that will lead to a long healthy life...and if it doesn't, screw it, you will die a happy, happy man. The best thing about your health plan is that it isn't mandatory, there is no wait for service and it's not costing American's and arm and a leg.

Imagine a country where people said.."my healthcare is MY responsiblity". Whether it's through finding a decent job where the company provides healthcare as a benefit or you buy your own healthcare policy. Sometimes this may require living in a smaller house and driving a smaller car and maybe not having as many t.v.'s but for many Americans it IS a choice. The prevaling thought is that the gov't should take care of you and that they OWE you healthcare. In a capitalist society (in my opinion) the only thing that is OWED to an individual is the right to work, and the opportunity to have...opportunity. People want affordable healthcare? I have said this before. The military has a pretty OK healthcare program. COuld be better but could be much worse. I don't see very many people lined up outside my door wanting to WORK a little bit for the healthcare for their family. IT's MUCH EASIER to sit on their ass and let the gov't give them something for VIRTUALLY nothing.

Gosh... the attitude you describe could possibly be the very reason the mortgage and housing market is in the scheister. People wanting more house than they can afford and making bad decisions to get there...
