What are tickets costing for his concert for a good seat? (Ticketmaster price not scalper price) That guy has tons of great songs and probably puts on a wonderful show. I believe 100 to 125 would be fair to see him for a decent seat.

Ever been to the Cirque de solil? It's incredible.

We didn't get the best seats, but not the worst seats either and it was $100.00 per person....I'm sure they are cheaper if you get seats behind the stage or in the nose bleed section....

A hundred bucks for having the privilege of putting up with all that crowd, the aggravation, and ya gotta drive there too??!! For a hundred bucks, I'd best be getting a great seat, free beer, breakfast, a massage, and "flowers on my piano"!!

Obviously you haven't been to a concert lately. Unless you are going to Garth Brooks for 25 bux...100 and up is the standard price for anyone decent. That's not including parking, beer, food etc...

Ours were a hundred bucks a pop too. We are going up there this weekend because they're having an open house for the public. We'll get to see the inside and I'll report what it's really like. For the Billy Joel show, they have an end stage shown. I've seen Billy Joel's show before and I believe it was in the round that time, so I'd be real surprised if he wasn't in the round again. It just doesn't make good use of all the seats. Actually, our seats are not on the floor, but the first tier and (I think) 6th row. He puts on one hell of a show for an old guy. Rocket Man is playing in a couple of weeks - hubby said he wouldn't pay those prices to go watch him. Who knows - maybe KC's house built of gold will actually stand!

At our age...floor seats can be dangerous...even at a Billy Joel concert...you know when they get to moshing to "You may be right"..it might get out of control...broken hips and all.

I'm laughing - and that's exactly the reason I'm not going to Garth Brooks. I like his music and I love his enghusiasm. Just don't think I can move quick enough! I don't know that I'd ever want a seat on the floor unless it was for a Jim Brinkman concert. Those are tame. But the others? I'd rather sit where I can see over the people standing up!

Over the past year or so, I've been to Lynard Skynard, ZZ Top, Foreigner, Carrie Underwood, Def Leppard, and CCR. The highest one was ZZ Top at like $35, and I thought they more or less "stunk"! Of course, I like classic R&R, so these "rappers" must be overcharging!

I went to the Sprint Center open house today. There were quite a few people there and they set off a bunch of fireworks. It looks great. Getting there, however, is still a major problem. I will be happy when all the damn road construction is finished.

I heard parking is going to be a major problem - well, not if you enjoy a 3-block walk in downtown Kansas City ..... I think I'll follow my co-workers' lead and either get a taxi from a Plaza parking garage or a limo. Drop me off and pick me up at the door.
