Seriously if we knew what to look for and where to look we could help out the PD. I think we should have some type of neighborhood watch where people ACTUALLY watch and care. I think there should be seminars on how to spot gangs and what to look for. The PD can't be everywhere but a few good Dodgeboardians (is that a word), cell phones and camera's could make a difference.

That would take a judge to order that. I doubt they would do that here. It would take someone to supervise them. (I would volunteer) THen if they are hispanic (I know...I KNOW...a Hispanic gang member in DOdge is a long shot) some Hispanic right's organization would be on our ass about degrading or some shit. I think they ought to wear a big ass PINK SHIRT that says GANG BANGING DOESN'T PAY in bright letters. They have to clean up the property they painted and as a sentence any other property...it could be community service hours. It should be in the paper with a picture of the guy doing it. IF he is a minor just don't show his face and name. That would only happen in a city with some leadership and that was SERIOUS about making the city safe for those that live there and pay taxes.

I've actually been doing something like that on my days off. Driving around my neighborhood with police scanner, flashlight, cell phone. Saturday night I was riding around with scanner and heard a car they were looking for from Friday night was seen pulling into the Conoco on S 2nd. I was near there and got there before any police and just in time to see the car leaving. I followed the car and called the dispatcher to let them know I was following the car they were looking for and it had left the Conoco. I followed it up 2nd to Earp then to Ave B and then east on Magnolia where it parked. Right after I told dispatch it had parked, a squad car pulled up to it. I don't know what happened after that, but it felt good to know that I helped in finding somebody they were looking for.

that's good stuff bubba...more people should help out like that...you probably made a difference.
