DOG: Lord it's hard to be humble

Anyone see the public apology of Dog the bounty hunter for using the "N word?" What is it with these entertainers? Is it a God complex where they begin to believe they are above the common man?

Dog says "I thought blacks loved the Dog." and "I thought the Dog was cool with blacks." OK so being "cool" with people makes it OK to refer to people in a derogatory manor. Now I realize Dog is no rocket scientist but everyone knows the N word can't be used by Crackers.

The only thing Dog is guilty of is thinking a Cracker is racially equal.

It was an illegally tapped private phone conversation between Dog and his son Tucker, perpatrated by an angry son and the National Enquirer. The whole thing outa be off limits!!

I know I have said some things on the phone privately to my family or friends that I would not want to be on TV.

Could you imagine getting fired from your job over a (eavesdropped) private phone conversation you had with your son?

Forget what he said - the way this was obtained just aint right!!! Still, you can tell it was taken outa context and that he was talking hypothetically about what could happen....

The conversation went a little something like this. Dog says, “I don't care if she's a Mexican, a whore or whatever. It's not because she's black, it's because we use the word nigger sometimes here. I'm not gonna take a chance ever in life of losing everything I've worked for for 30 years because some ****ing nigger heard us say nigger and turned us in to the Enquirer magazine Our career is over! I'm not taking that chance at all! Never in life! Never! Never! If Lyssa [Dog's daughter] was dating a nigger, we would all say '**** you!' And you know that. If Lyssa brought a black guy home ya da da... it's not that they're black, it's none of that. It's that we use the word nigger. We don't mean you ****ing scum nigger without a soul. We don't mean that shit. But America would think we mean that. And we're not taking a chance on losing everything we got over a racial slur because our son goes with a girl like that. I can't do that Tucker. You can't expect Gary, Bonnie, Cecily, all them young kids to [garbled] because 'I'm in love for 7 months' - **** that! Now that’s the full transcript, without anything deleted. I think one of the problems with this is that people aren’t actually getting the full transcript. What they’re getting instead is a version like this one, which I found on Fox news: “I don't care if she's a Mexican, a (EXPLETIVE DELETED), whatever. It's not because she's black. Sounds a lot worse with all those “Expletives Deleted” in there doesn’t it? The first time I read it, I automatically inserted the evil “N-Word” in all the places where it says that. Whoops. Apparently “whore” now counts as an expletive.

So now we’ve read the full transcript and Dog the Bounty Hunter is on the verge of losing his job, being forced to issue apologies and meet with community leaders, and basically his life is a living hell while idiots from every corner scream the word “racist” at him. Wait, what he said makes him a racist? I don’t get it. It seems to me that we’re stretching the definition of racism until it loses all meaning. Or maybe I just have the definition wrong. Let’s check dictionary.com… racist - a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others.

Ok, great. Simple definition. So, Dog must think white people are the best right? So let’s look for the place where he says that. Hm. Don’t’ see it. Ok, maybe he thinks black people are inferior or he says something derogatory about Mexicans. Check for that… no. Sorry. Instead the guy seems to go out of his way to say that he doesn’t hate people of other races. So where is all the racism? All that’s there is Dog admitting to using a politically incorrect word. He’s not even using the word in a derogatory context. What the hell is going on here?

If it was recorded by his son while he was talking to his son it's a legal recording.

At least in Kansas it would be. I'm not sure of Cali's laws.

Kansas is a one-party state.

California is a two party state, which means both sides of the conversation must be aware of the recording for it to be legal.

He knew his language could bite him in the behind and failed to do the one sure-fire thing to protect himself, clean it up.

He might be able to make some legal noise with The Enquirer but the damage is done.

Yer right Hyway, about his language. It is bad.

But let's consider from where this person started; Beaten and mentally abused by his father as a child, drugs, crime and biker gang in his youth, spent time in prison for a crime he did not commit, etc etc etc.

He's been on the wrong side of the tracks for most of his life. The good thing is: more recently, he has turned to God and is fighting crime.

I don't know many poeple that could claim they've never used the "N" word or the "F" word. I'm not about to throw stones at someone who uses foul language.

Let's not judge him by where he's at, but how far he has came.

You’re right Tee, he did turn himself around and came a long way. He might even get over this someday. But in today’s PC climate we can’t even enforce laws because of fear of being labeled a racist. We can’t have honest discussions anymore without someone crying foul.

I look at what the Dog said and think that he was pissed and said a few things that he probably wouldn’t have said if he wasn’t pissed. I think it was no big deal, just foul language from a guy that works with street scum. With anyone that’s successful there are unsuccessful jerks waiting for a chance to take a successful guy down.

Dog will have to make amends with his black preacher, his black hairdresser and the black guy that he works out with and the Al Sharptons of the world should find something else useful to do. PC is doing us more harm than good anymore.

There’s an old saying, one “Ah shit” wipes out a thousand “That-a-boys”.

I hope the Dog isn’t totally destroyed by the pettiness of the PC crowd.

What matters is that Dog's son, Tucker, sold out his father for $15,000 to buy drugs, even though his father was supporting him and his gold-digging girlfriend. Dog was only looking out for Tucker and the rest of the family and Tucker betrayed him to "the Enquirer" in the worst possible way.

Tucker says he was motivated to record his father to expose the hypocracy. This from a CURRENT druggie and felon, whom Dog just recently bailed out of jail.
