Ya know...just how stupid is that? Was I that stupid when I was in high school? Why even bother to buckle the damn thing after the accident. As if it wasn't obvious they didn't have their seat belts on after they hit the windshield. Do they not realize they were very lucky they didn't go right through the windshield? Holy bejeezus. Even I wear a seat belt. And I'm gonna live forever!

Sounds to me like the kids at Dodge City Highschool need to see and hear the program that local students just recently heard about seatbelts/drunk driving. I heard they saw some pretty scarey pictures that shows them exactly what happens when windshield meets face. Maybe that would make them think a little bit.

The vehicle was equipped with automatic shoulder belts which had to be cut after the collission, so it is obviouls they were in use.

It seems obvious to me that they didn't work as intended if they hit the windshield while wearing them.

I drive 14th (n of bypass) everyday. I never see any police around and havent all year long.

The result is we just let these drivers run the outside lane all the way to Ross and then some other idiot ALWAYS lets them in. This is how they are raised. It is perfectly normal to cheat to get ahead. That is how it is done where they come from. They don't have to follow rules, and our PD isn't teaching any lessons to these people that it is NOT ok to cut to the front of the line.


I really blame the people that leave a gapping hole (in the fence so to speak) to let the cheaters accomplish their goal. If people wouldn't let them in, they would stop trying to cheat and find it is quicker to just get over into the inside lane as soon as you can.

Maybe we can get CONQ Radio to put up a wireless camera out on the sign to see what really happens when DCPD isn't looking.

I'd be glad to support a video camera. Our only problem's the tiny straw that our internet's connected through.... think: dots & dashes ... not bits and Bytes.

They're the same thing, KONQ!! Dots and dashes and bits and bytes... all produced by the simple idea of "on" and "off."

Now, if you'd said it was powered by hamsters vs. cheetas... that'd be much more graphic!!!
