| Rats dropping like flies Bush's top economic adviser stepping down - Nov. 28, 2007 Bush's top economic adviser to resign Al Hubbard, chairman of the National Economic Council, joins growing list of advisers leaving the White House. WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush announced on Wednesday that Keith Hennessey is his pick to be chairman of the National Economic Council, replacing Al Hubbard, who is joining a growing line of top presidential advisers exiting the White House as the Bush administration heads into its final year.

| Two points. All administrations have plenty of staff turnover. The staff was told a few months ago to either commit to staying till the end if the term in 2009 or resign before the end of the year. They didn’t want to spend time replacing folks next year. Another non-issue.
