I really wonder how he lived "this long"! Us "more experienced" members probably remember some of his stunts. The Snake River Canyon jump was a big thing on the Wide World of Sports. And I remember his wipeout at Caesars Palace. That video has been replayed many times of his body bouncing around like a rag-doll!

Get this. I was in board meetings this week planning strategies for next year. We usually go offsite for the annual meeting and actually held it at Dave & Busters's. (Very good service there.) There is a monitor in the room they call "The Board Room" (very well appointed, as a matter of fact) and the news came on that Evel had passed and we all stopped to see. Like it was a world event! I had to wonder how he actually died - seemed like the man had 7 lives! Speaking of 7 lives, doggie got run over last week. She's got to be 15 in doggie years'; blind and mostly deaf. She is back to us now, with a big gash across her back sewn up (which makes me queasy when I see it) and wimpering every step she takes. I think that's for effect. Hubby has her on so many pain pills she surely can't feel anything. She does get attention with the wimpering....

Anyway, I digress. RIP, Evel, we'll miss you!

I hope your doggie gets well fast. If the pain pills don't work, maybe give her a shot of your "hooch"!

I think Evel Knievel set a Guinness Record for most broken bones by a person that lived. He would have had to been in a lot of pain for all those years, I would think. Heck, there isn't a day goes by that I don't feel my old sports injuries. Anyway, Evel was pretty interesting back in the "good old days"!

Evel lived life the way most of us envy. Facing down the Grim Reaper and shoving his sickle up his butt. Even the Last Gladiator had to go sometime.

He made his final leap. RIP.
