Just trying to understand. So the laws of a country are more important than your faith or the teaching of your church. What if you don't agree with the laws?

I can't answer the first statement for you because I have faith in myself. As far as not agreeing with the laws, I suppose you have the freedom to find and live in a country that has laws that you agree with.

I am definitely not a religious person, but I am spiritual! I believe that my relationship with God is all I need and not a single soul can convince me otherwise. As for your statement, I am sure you are referring to the troubles they are facing as illegal immigrants at this time. The fact of the matter is that they are breaking laws. I would consider that some sort of sin!

Also, they should have known that they couldn't get away with being in a country illegally forever! They put themselves into this situation and then expect us to sympathize with the fact that they made a life here! THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER DONE THIS TO THEMSELVES!

Sherry - That's an interesting way to look at things. So if people have conflicting interests, does God pick sides?

If you break the laws of the country you get fined and/or go to jail. (unless you are in Dodge City). If you break your secular laws you are only punished by your God or you have a chance to repent maybe? Do you believe your secular laws supercede the laws of the land in which you live?

Then you either break them and go to jail, elect someone that will change them or leave.

People in Dodge City don't go to jail? Then why are we building a new jail? I thought it was over capacity because of all the people who have been arrested.

How many countries can anyone name were you can just walk across the border and set up housekeeping without first getting permission from the government of that country to be there?

It was sarcasm. YES people go to jail in Dodge. Do enough go to jail? NO Look up how many of our crimes are unsolved, pleaded down or people are sentenced to probation.

Do you think your religious laws supercede our local/state/national laws? Dr. Gunn was killed by someone that thought their religious laws superceded our national laws.
