I just don't understand this concept of "I know I broke the law but you should forget about it because we have jobs and a family." Ya, well maybe these drug dealers should try that excuse and see how far it gets them. I really don't think the idea of "I tried to do it the legal way but it was taking too long" works either.

And they "Get the feeling they're not welcome." Oh, ya think? Hello Einstein, we don't like criminals! Stand in line like the other law abiding applicants. If it takes too long thats no excuse to cut in line.

No Kidding! News Bulletin:::You are NOT welcome here. The fact that your son has an education through our system and you haven't even paid your fair share of taxes may have something to do with that, as well!

I say it is time that illegals get the jist: You are not welcome. We don't care if you work for less. No, this is not Mexico, Ireland, Cuba, etc. This is America, and you have to follow the rules here.

I thought vigils were for the dying, or church festivals, NOT to PROTEST the legal treatment of a particular illegal group.

I'll tell you why...because it's easier to stay ignorant. Illegals say they come to the U.S. for a better life...that's BS! Illegals are here to take advantage of our system. Wheather it be education, social programs, healthcare...whatever they can get. If they truely wanted a better life they'd do it legally and they'd make a positive contribution to society. Who wants to live looking over their shoulder everyday? Illegals do and that's why they say its so difficult to live here. (as it should be)

I for one am sick of the sob stories. I'm sick of hearing about how these illegals are being mistreated. I'm sick of watching employers hire them and then say all their employees are documented. (sure they're documented, with false documents) I'm sick of watching neighbors deteriorate because these illegals don't really give a darn about anything except getting away with breaking our laws.

It's time our city drew a line in the sand and said enough is enough! Fine employers, landlords and whoever else is harboring Federal law breakers.
Put anyone without a lic. and Insurance in jail. Pass laws that penalize those who intentionally provide services to illegals. I could go on and on, but enough said for now...

First you have to get Mr. Smoll and the illustrious city commissioners to get on board. Hell they don't even want to crack down on the people w/ no drivers license because it MIGHT affect the illegal community and they jobs...Do you think they are going to penalize them for anything else? PFFFFT

Hell..why would she? Everything around here is printed in Spanish. It makes it easy for people to NOT learn the language.

Exactly Army.

I see daily, people who have been here for years and are collecting Social Security and still speak no English. Why should they if everything is set up so they do not have to. I wouldn't learn a different language if i didn't have to.
