I know I say a lot of bad things about Dodge and in my 3 LONG years here I haven't had anything more than the flu but the doctors I have seen have been pretty decent. I don't go to a regular Doc, I just see who's available so I've seen about all of them and have no complaints.

Prior to my daughter being born my wifey was on bedrest and had to spend a week in the womans hospital clinic thingy here. She went there there to shoot out the kid and remained for about 3 days. I thought the service there was impeccable. If I had to find something to complain about I'm not sure I could. The staff was SO helpful I almost forgot I was in Dodge City.

I have been to the E.R. a couple of times also and sans the wait I thought the service was pretty decent.

Must be Dr. Williams, if it is she sucks. That is why I left Family Practice and am Using Dr. Perak at the Med Center.

Why did you feel the need to leave FPA? You can schedule your appointment with your doctor of choice. I just don't understand your decision on this.

I had Moffit as my family doc, had some medical problems and was admitted to hospital, the problem was he was off the day I was put in and she filled in, fine. Next day she came in and said she was in charge of my medical care, I wanted Moffits opinion on my care. Was there 3 days and finally she comes in and says Moffit felt I needed to be transfered to Garden City. Problem was that I had a kidney stone and there is not a Uroligist in DC with hospital Privileges and they new that from day one. I needed to have a stent put in and also have the stone blasted. So I paid 4500 dollars to a hospital that other wise wouldnt of had to if they would of pulled there heads out of there asses and told me to go to GC. So to me the whole Family practice sucks although my wife still goes there.

That’s kind of the point here. Doctors don’t care how much money is pissed away as long as it ain’t theirs. It’s really bad if you have insurance because all they have to do is let the office help summit a bill and the money rolls in. There’s a couple of doctors that I’d love to go back and rip them a new one but I’ll be dammed if I’ll pay an office call to do it.

FWIW, family practice docs are OK for young, pregnant women and children but I would never recommend one for a mature adult. Us old farts should see a really good GP or an internal medicine doc.
