I am with AOO here. I was in the Reserves and spent Thanksgiving in Iraq away from my family. I was able to come home for Christmas and New Years. The govt flew me from Iraq to Georgia and then I had to buy my plane ticket from Georgia to Wichita and back. My father paid for the gas to drive from LaCrosse to Wichita and back. I never got my money back and never ever thought of asking for money to buy my ticket, which I paid about $400.00 for and another $50.00 for gas. I just did a quick search for a bus ticket and for a round trip ticket it is less then $200.00. I know first hand it sucks being away from the family for the Holidays, but these guys are making good money and should be able to buy their own ticket. What about the guys that are in Iraq and won't be able to make it home?
