| He was supposed to do my c-section.. I got a call from my regular dr a day or 2 before it printed in the paper saying he couldn't do it and I had to switch drs... I got a call again from my dr today saying that his privileges were reinstated until he goes to court... I guess depending on the outcome is whether he gets to keep it or not.

| The state Medical Board will determine if he keeps his license. Course any hospital he has privileges at can suspend them for whatever they see fit. It's called Medical Staff Credentialing. No hospital "has" to employ you - no privileges - no job. Course not all battery is a felony is it? Isn't there something like simple aggravated assault??? I haven't seen the story - Didn't Brownrigg - like shoot his wife or wife's lover or something???? Now THERE was a story!!!! LOL LOL

| Innocent until PROVEN guilty Many may have a knee-jerk reaction, calling for his suspension. At this time, he has not be convicted of a felony, but the governing body for his license is the KS State Board of Healing Arts, and they will have something to say if he is convicted. Damage is already done by him being "fingered" for the crime. Many patients are leaving due to this.

| Well..the story headline said FELONY battery that's probably a pretty good clue he was arrested on a felony. I'm not exactly a Blue's Clue's graduate but I would say it's a felony.

| Well wait and see what it is when he goes to court - that could be different story all together. The charge alone won't get him fired - he needs to be convicted first. No need to jump the gun! Besides if they do anything it would probably be Admin Leave.......... paid no matter how you look at it.

| Is it true that it is a felony battery charge due to the amt of $ with damage and the fact that the child endangerment charge was there? I'm not real keen on the law, either. It appears that he was not at the house of the victim when police arrived. Can he be arrested by the victim's word against his? Still pretty vague about the circumstances, yet.
