Tiger Attack

The tiger attack in San Fransisco really got me thinking about the zoo conditions in Dodge and whether or not a human error could leave a bear or tiger or wolf running wild through the town. The cages aren't exactly huge and there isn't much of a barrier outside of those cages. If something is left ajar it could turn into a horrible scene.

Is anyone else fearful about having these powerful animals in pretty unfit cages where one mistake could leave many injured or worse? It is just me? I thought about it when I was at the zoo with my nephew the last time I was home. Is there a full time zoo keeper that would even notice if an animal made an escape?

I'm sure everyone that works there does their job but we are all human and mistakes do happen. What are the preventative measures taken here?

Tiger? Bear? Wolf? Bring 'em on! Piece of cake after dodging gangs, illegal drivers with no insurance, thieves, local government, high taxes, blizzards, tornadoes, and the usual little things of living in SW Kansas!

I gotta agree with ya, Mit - The zoo animals wouldn't scare me half as much as the gangs. Does Dodge have animals that are still young enough to break down the fence? I thought there were only monkeys left. (I mean that seriously). Well, and some buffalo. And maybe some birds....

That is the wall of protection. Nothing can get through it. Kind of like a moat around the zoo. Let's see them animals get through that.

Well, this thread went nowhere fast. I realize there are dangers with gangs but that isn't the only possible threat to society. I guess we can't discuss anything here without it turning into a chance to point out the obvious fact that there are illegal immigrants in the city.
