Flag code is not a law. It's a set of guidelines. Like the one that says the only proper way to dispose of a flag that has become used and tattered is to burn it.

But the code has been around for a long time.

I know you have a personal dislike for GW and we have different things that are important to us which is fine. I just look at the fact that since 9/11 my family sleeps well at night not having to worry about having their heads sawed off. My wife and child can come to the mall without worrying about it being blown up by a terrorist. The fight is over there and not over here.

We are at war whether you agree with it or not or if it's a just war or not is besides the point. We are at war with very bad people and we don't have to worry (yet) about having bomb proof rooms or chemical masks on hand. (see isreal) IMHO that is a good thing. Maybe things will be better once BO sits down with the leaders of Al Qaeda and brokers a peace deal.

There are things about Bush's policies I disagree with but in the big picture we are safer because of his policies and thanks to a strong military. Now you can go ahead and rip apart what I just said because I know you hate Bush. These are just my personal feelings...
