HB 1804 Fallout

Now I'm not choosing sides - just thought that this showed the up side AND the down side. Guess you just need to be able to deal with whatever side you fall on. As I read this it seems that it's being challanged in court. I haven't followed much of this but found spin on both sides kinda interesting. It looks like the Oklahoma citizens aren't biting - as evidenced by the comments to this story. Just interesting I thought.

hmmmm as a preant I can say...

Not take the kid to seek medical attention to avoid discovery of my crime thus putting the child in danger or put my child's health first.

That's a no brainer.

The child didn't have to die if the parents would do what they were supposed to in the first place, or if they would have put their child first instead of their own SELF-INFLICTED fears!

Also...if the parents hadn't of broken the law in the FIRST place they wouldn't have been here illegally.

It's like a family having a kid in a house with a meth lab. The kid gets sick..do you call an ambulance or let the kid die? The parents make a bad choice, the kid dies then they blame the legal system for outlawing making meth and use the kid as a propoganda piece...

My notice in the comments of the piece as well. Like I said - it was just an interesting "spin" on the whole thing. Showed how folks can look at the same thing and see different things.

The stories you WON'T READ about is the ones of the RAPES, MURDERS, ROBBERY, GANG ACTIVITY, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE and such that WON'T occur and the lives and property saved from HB 1804.

How much crime has taken place in Dodge City that wouldn't exist if our leaders had the leadership and forsight to pass the same type of law???

I think folks are waiting for the legal dust to settle - it may not be law at all when the courts are finished.
