| It is all subjective to what one considers torture. Is isolation torture? How about long interigating questions? I do not believe in torture either, it is unreliable at best......but what is torture? Waterboarding is uncomfortable and something I wouldn't do to my children.......but is it torture? Is what the sheriff in Arizona does to the inmates, and the conditions they live in, considered torture? McCaine seems to find nothing wrong with that.

| Subjective is a good term. The previous administration used bright lights and played These Boots Are Made For Walking over loudspeakers down at Waco. Then they pored in CS gas on women and children. They rammed the building with tanks knocking down stairs and blocking egress from the second story. Then they held back the fire department when the building caught fire while folks burned to death. This was done to citizens and now we fret about poring a little water into a terrorist’s nose. How screwed up can we get?

| Yet ANOTHER issue McCain has flip flopped on to pander to the righties.

Yes, now that you point that out I see a clear difference between the Davidians and the terrorists. Certainly abuse of due process, lying to get warrants and gassing innocent women and children was absolutely necessary. It is disheartening to see the depths that we’ve sunk to by giving terrorists free medical care, all the food they can eat and forcing upon them (gasp) Starbuck’s coffee. It’s good to know that your blind loyalty to Bill Clinton and your blind hatred for George Bush hasn’t interfered with your totally rational thinking. Dood.

| Why would you think that? I’m a total middle of the road moderate. It’s only when you see me compared to some of the ultra far left liberals on this board that I appear to tilt to the right.
