I feel like they are totally necessary now.

However the McCarthy fubar could seep back in if there is not some control.

Problem is who,what,where,when.

Just as there are degrees of torture there are also degrees of invading privacy.

I would hope the CIA and other sources would know how to handle that, at least better than the WMD'S. Surely they have learned from that mistake.....haven't they?

How is information graded ? 3 or more have to agree on the evidence ? What? how is it handled ?

Remember the times when concern about this was not publicly debated.... Wish it were still so.

It's not JUST Democrats. I got this in my email from Congress.org. It lets me know how my representatives are voting on bills.

To extend the Protect America Act of 2007 for 21 days - Vote Failed (191-229, 9 Not Voting)

The House rejected this bill that would have extended the current FISA law for 21 days and given Congress time to resolve the differences between the House and Senate bills.

Rep. Jerry Moran voted NO.....

Actually it's everyone's "Rodeo". It's an election year and I'm trying to point out some of the differences in the parties. I'm not real fond of what's happening to my nation either...in fact I'm pretty bent out of shape about quite a few things. I am looking for the person, people or party that will fix it or at least try.

That’s just the point. It is the Democrats, at least some of them.

This bill passed the Senate but the Democrat leadership in the House refused to put it on the calendar for a vote. That is what the first post in this thread was about, Republicans protesting the Democrat leadership not allowing this bill to come to the floor for a vote.

He voted NO, you say it IS the Democrats, thus Jerry Moran IS A DEMOCRAT. I'm sure he will be surprised to hear that.
