| Looks like Blu-Ray is gonna win this one. I've been waiting for this to resolve itself before deciding on which format to buy. Congrat to Sony. They lost the Beta/VHS battle but will probably win the DVD format. Thanks for the info.

| Is it a similar glitch to standard dual layer dvd's? usually depends on the player, but when it changes to the second layer, if it hasn't built up enough cache, it stop for a second to catch up.

| Probably something like that, but Ihave never seen or heard of that glitch with Blue Ray disks or players.

| When it comes to technology - I'm so far behind I don't have to worry bout too much of it. I'm still cryin cause I have so many VHS's - hell I still have a turntable and the records to go on it. LOL

| There will always be a better kodec around the corner. As compression techniques improve so will video quality. Remember the battle between Beta and VSH? Now neither are still used.
