Well, actually, not much. But in their defense, everytime they passed a bill to make a change (for the good), George W. vetoed it, then the minority didn't come up with the backbone to overturn his veto.

Again typical politics - same thing happened with the republican congress and a republican president - just didn't seem to be able to get over that little ditch.

I'm hoping with a Dem president and a Dem congress perhaps we really will see a difference.............. for the good of the people who voted them in. Coursse if not we'll just swing the other direction and the drama will continue........... as ususal. I'm hopeful but it wouldn't take much for me to recognise the same old story and mix it up once again. Voters.......... we are a persnickerty group!! LOL

8 (eight). Oddly enough, that is all that he has vetoed his whole administration. All after 2006, seems he doesn't like to work together with the Democrats.

they need 60 in the Senate to overturn a veto. There are too many Repubican drones to get there. It's not all thier fault but the Dems could have done better.
