After feeling much the same as you zibble (was that your name? I can't remember) when I first visited this site I stuck around. Your voice can't be heard if you leave.

One thing to remember is that most of the people on this board are not racist at all. They are coming from a position of anger and hurt that their city is changing and not always for the better. It is bad behavior on a lot of parts and unfortunately the large percentage of those causing trouble are illegal. I would be fired up mad if I were Hispanic. I would be mad at these people coming to this town to represent me and doing a really bad job of being a good citizen. It isn't about race. It is about how people are treating each other and treating the town they are living in. That goes for every race and color as far as I am concerned. If you aren't going to respect it then see ya. I don't care if you are yellow, blue, white or purple.

I really don't like how every thread here turns into an thread of complaints. It's boring. It's predictable and you have to know that saying stuff about Hispanics in every thread is going to seem racist right? If you don't mean to come off that way (and I honestly don't think you do) then it might be good to open up your language a little and think in more positive terms. It can only be pointed out so much that you sound racist (even when you aren't) before you have to step back and think that maybe you are going about change the wrong way. Complaining doesn't work.

I'll raise a dos esques to ya Jack!!! I think zibbie should stick around and be a part of the conversation (which sure could be more positive at times) rather than running and not conversing at all. There is room for everyone here if folks would start using the board and stop using the chicken shit rep system. That's as pointless as some of the conversation that goes on at times. If you want someone off the board don't bad rep them to death. You can always write admin if they are breaking some rule. She can deal with them.
