Shouldn't the United States celebrate that, because i seriously doubt that the French celebrate "Cinco de mayo". But then again you never know with those crazy French people.

Well, the mexicans expect the United States to recognize 'Cinco de Mayo' as a part of our holidays, they want the day off and all.

In fact, 2 years ago, the slogan that all the posters around the Texas panhandle and Southwest Kansas was 'Cinco de Mayo : An ALL AMERICAN CELEBRATION'

So.. Therefore.. I want my new 'San Jacinto Day' recognized by the Mexican government as an 'All Mexican Celebration'

Its a part of MY CULTURE! Since thats the excuse for everything mexicans do..

I honestly can't remember the last time i tried to get that as a national holiday here in Kansas... you know since i am one of the mexicans.

But the holiday i really want a day off for is the day after St. Patty's Day....Man something about the green beer and guiness that just gets to my system.

Once again i cannot remember the last time I used the "Its part of my culture" as an excuse for anything i do.

I prefer this excuse: "Its cuz I am brown isn't it".

Side note: For some reason this excuse did not work when i tried it with my parents when i was younger.

disclaimer- this response was written with sarcasm....please do not take it seriously....once again sarcasm is part of the response
