Yeah I think cheap was the wrong word. I sure wish someone would tell the sellers that things are cheaper now. I just saw a 1bd/1bth "house" for $499,000. Of course it was also in a pretty undesirable neighborhood too. Awesome.

But that same house may have been selling for 600,000 a year ago. It's not worth as much with the market. I would agree that there aren't too many things cheap in California.

If you buy it just think of all the equity you will have when the market turns back around(which it will) and it is worth $600,000-$800,000!

Right Bubba....I wish I was one of those wealthy people you hate and want to tax the dog sh*t out of....I believe now is a great time to buy a house if you have the money because at some point the value will go back up. It's all cyclical.

Yeah, I wish we could buy but even the cheapest prices are really high for us. We are hoping that since we are having to live through the building of some new condos next door that they will just give us one for not complaining. I'm sure that will work out for us. Pfffft.

I remember a little blurb on TV a couple years ago about a million dollar home in Malibu.

It was a trailer with a view of the ocean.

The only thing I found "cheap" in LA, was Paris Hilton and Britney Spears! However, a lot of people had already "lived" there, and the places were kind of "run down and over-priced"!
