Willie Nelson concert sold out!

It's been a while... (back in the '70s, in fact), but I attended concerts in Dodge (at the civic center) where the headliners were BTO and REO Speedwagon (seperately) and the Scottish band Nazerath (at the old Dodge Speedway). In Garden, I saw the Canadian band Rush, along with warm-up band UFO (British, I think). All were major stars of the day and some of them (REO, especially) are still going strong on the "classic rock" circuit (and still a viable band).

At the Roundup Arena, I've seen Brooks and Dunn (hotter than Hades at the time), Allan Jackson (likewise), Montgomery-Gentry (still hot) and Lonestar.

I hope the community supports both Nelson and Aldean and it sounds like they will.

Ya Willie is cool! I have always liked him. You might not get bands like Rolling Stones and such but you can get Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tesla, Alice Cooper, Great White, Def Leppard, and some hard stuff like Clutch, Pantera, some stuff like that that is not that bad. Just stay away from that freakin POISEN, I hate that band.

I didn't go to that one because I didn't think that one original member of the band and a bunch of studio/road musicians should actually be allowed to call themselves steppenwolf. Maybe I'm just being too picky, but I take my music seriously if I am spending my dollars on it.

Yes they are. But, since I didn't get to see them in their heyday, I would spend my money on seeing them now.

By the way, anyone remember the Foghat concert at the CC many years ago? They had Head East there as a replacement band for their opening. They were Great!
