| I have known alot of wife beaters that were smooth talkers also. Thats the problem with smooth talking. Be around it enough and you soon forget the underlying issue. Obama needs to answer a very simple question.......is he a man running for president who happens to be black, or is he a black man running for president. All I got from his speech is more of the same about how divided the country is, how change is coming and how he embraces the change and leads the charge...........what I did not here from him was why he continues to have as his personal spiritual advisor a hate filled racist. I am sure he disagrees with Wrights opinions.......but he still embraces him. I think he, Obama, is afraid to part ways with this man and church because he is afraid of pissing off the black community. That or he truly believes what the man advises. So, ask yourself truly, is he going to try and bring America closer or is he going to try and bring Black America closer? Is it America first, or is it race first?

| For me it's America first and I personally am tired of the race issues. I live in the black south and if you have never lived black south then it's hard to understand. There is plenty of damage on both sides. I think to be a united America we need to be able to unite first. I know what you are saying Dutchie - my kids don't buy him either. It's strictly a matter of choice for anyone in this election. He just happens to be the choice of many - just like your candidate. The haters altho really seem extremely vicious this year. BTW - anyone catch the McCain AlQuida comment? Good thing Lieberman was around for him during his "non campaign" related march thru Iraq!

| I didn't say I did not buy him or wether he is or is not my candidate. I have always said I liked him and respected him. What I am saying is that I take him, and the other candidates, with a grain of salt. I am a bit more sceptical about what they say and what they really say. Thats nice Bubba......he leaves AFTER he gets outed. That doesn't say much to me since all this happened BEFORE he was outed. If a candidate was a card carrying member of NAMBLA, and was for say 20 some odd years, then it came to light and they THEN decided to not be one, would you just give them a pass? Or would you want to know why they were one for so long? Would you want to know why, now, all of a sudden, they realized what it stood for was wrong for all those years? Would you want to know why, even though they now disagree with NAMBLA, they still go to the meetings and have close personal ties with it's leader? I for one am not going to just give Obama a pass on this. Because he is black, unfortunately he must put himself above the racial issues. You sleep with dogs, you get fleas. You hang out with and form close personal ties with a known drug dealer, and you know they deal drugs but continue to empower them with your friendship and refuse to pass judgement on their bad behavior, then you are no better than the drug dealer. You do not have to agree with their behavior, but by not disagreeing with it and telling them that you will not be a part of their life until such time as they change it, then what does that make you? We are talking about the leader of the free world here. We are talking about the leader of the strongest country on this planet, not some PTA or union organization.

Am I a fear monger..............NO...........I just have alot of questions. I have a question... Obama is half white also.... and he seems to only acknowledge his black side... He kinda slammed his white grandmother cause she admitted black men scared her....and said a couple of things that made him cringe............ WAHHHHHHHHHHH was she scared because they are black or because they hate white folks. What about Brother Wright........he ain't all black What do you say to someone that dwells on the past and how they got shortchanged in life and it is always somebody else's fault...and whine about it all the time and you are sick of hearing it................... anyone ??? I know what I say. TK I am with your sons......something ain't right about Obama... I will say I love what he says he stands for. We need that now more than ever .......I guess I just don't trust any politicians and he is no different. He needs to earn my trust................IMHO I really do hope and I mean this sincerely... I hope I am being over dramatic.. Having said that ...I am looking at it with white eyes...But Blacks ain't the only ones that have had to endure the unfairness of life........ (whew)
