| Questions for Candidates First, thanks to those who responded to my first post. Those willing to go on the record with me, I should be getting in contact with you in the coming days. However, I'm here to ask another favor. With the city commission election approaching, the Globe will have its Q and As with the candidates, where we ask them six questions on issues important to Dodge City residents. We will then run one question a day through the week before the election. But, we're looking for input on what sort of questions you would like asked of the commission candidates. You can either respond to this thread or, as usual, send me an e-mail at mark.vierthaler@dodgeglobe.com. Thanks in advance. |

| It is interesting that you'd make it easy on yourself and come here for resources. Now it'll be interesting to see what you do with those resources.

| Question: When "looking out for the best interests of Dodge City," it is only fair that we know what your vision is of the future of Dodge City. What are your visions of economic growth, the school system and special events center?

| I don't live there but want to know if anyone has asked for some of the questioning to be focused on the "sanctuary city" comments that are tossed out here so often. I just wonder if the hard questions are going to be asked or if all the questions are going to be so watered down that it won't matter.

| If elected: 1. What will you do about the gang problems facing Dodge? 2. With the phrase "Think globally, act locally" in mind, what do you think you can accomplish vis a vis the illegal immigration problem in Dodge? 3. As one of the highest taxed communities in Kansas, what will you do to relieve the enormous tax burden put on the citizens of Dodge?
