I'd buy local but since Larry Adams closed his shop (The County Pedler) several years ago we have no dealer. Wal-Mart bikes are very, very questionable, as far as being a commuter.

I drive slower, and am much more conscience of how I accelerate.

I don't leave town to visit my family as often as I'd like.

It went up Wednesday night. It was 3.37 before that, at most places. I paid 3.35 for it on Thursday morning, but where I bought it was getting ready to go up to 3.49 too. I saw it as high as 3.63 in some towns on the way to Wichita.
Last week, I bought gas in Garden City for .17 a gallon less than in DC. Figure that one out??

It hasn’t affected me much. Adjust for inflation and offset by the better mileage of today’s cars against older cars and works out about the same as thirty years ago.

We are cutting out most of our entertainment/recreational activities. Movies, dining out, travel to less ball games, etc. The effect is real and measurable on us. Don't drive a huge gas guzzler (SUV,etc), but the next vehicle purchase will definately be more efficient.

I see most stations raised their prices again by a pretty large amount lastnight/this morning just in time to gouge all the July 4th Holiday travelers!
