The shopping mall Santa Claus has long been a holiday tradition as retailers seek to connect with the inner child in all of us. But a Los Angeles mall has decided to give Jolly Old St. Nick a macho makeover that puts a little more sizzle into the season — offering us the opportunity to impart our Christmas wishes to a "Hunky Santa."

Yes, it appears Santa has finally realized his rotund appearance was in need of some improvement, and after some well-spent time at the North Pole gym, he has traded in his belly full of jelly for six-pack abs and bulging biceps.

Shopping mecca Beverly Center says Hunky Santa is posing for photos this week but only in the evenings — an old-school Father Christmas is available during the day for youngsters who may find the buff version a bit icky.

And while we imagine Valley Girls everywhere have visions of Hunky Santas dancing in their heads, why do they get to have all the fun? How about a sexy Santa spouse — they could call her a "Ho Ho Hottie." Or maybe not.

Sorry guys, this one might be hot, but he's not doing anything for me. Maybe it's the cute smile. Or maybe it's the Santa robe. Certainly doesn't do anything for his physique. Oh, what the hell - I'm always a sucker for a cutie like him!

Don't feel lost hell you can't see any appeal cause of ALL the Santa garb.....

I don't see any 6 pack abs........all hype no hunk........ now maybe if he'd lose the hat, turn the braclets into cuffs, peel the robe and show up in little g string he might be worth the poloroid......... or maybe just a nice stratigically placed bow.... yeah that's it a bow and a smile..........

Actually quiet NY for us - probably due to toooo many past rowdy ones. Takes too long to recover any more. Just doesn't hold my interest anymore.

Same for me TK. I figure I'm lucky if I can stay awake till midnight and then wake up the next day. Have a good one anyway.

I like watchin the parades too much to be 1/2 dead on NY day......... besides I can drink and dance on my own table don't need to be inpubli to do that!!

I agree with both of ya. We're going to a party with another couple, but if it's anything like the last few years, we'll be lucky to stay awake to ring in New Year's. We'll have a couple of drinks and come home. Only 3 or 4 blocks from us, so that's another good thing! Have a Happy and Safe one!
