If you ship off all the illegals you would have fewer criminals to deal with and more resources will be freed up to deal withthose that are left.

what would the city do without the illegals here?. there is a very large amount of income for the city from all of the arrests being made. in the blotter section of the paper, it appears that at least 8 for 10 are easy money. bigger question is, how much would be saved?. think.,about the various ways. why, the pd would only have five officers on the beat.

You cannot place the blame on illegals for the criminal activity in our city. Many of the illegals are hardworking, honest people who fled to the USA, the promised land. Who are being taken advantage of by the "legal whites" and the "legal hispanics" because they risk working here illegally and have no avenue to legally complain. If you lived in the conditions that they fled from, you too would be looking for a better way of life for yourself and your family. These people endure great hardships, sometimes death, just to enter our country

I am of European descent and my ancestors just happened to be fortunate enough to come to America when if was as simple as giving your name at Ellis Island.

The blame for all the criminal activity in our community are the parents. They fail to teach their children right from wrong. They are lazy. They are children having children. They are adults whom are immature. They are parents who don't want to be "uncool" for enforcing rules. They are uneducated. They are people who would rather sit and complain rather than go out and make a difference. They are self-centered.

They are human with faults . . . from every ethical group.

It takes a village to raise responsible, decent human beings. And the number one place in the village is in the schools. Schools need more funding to hire more teachers and have much smaller class rooms so teachers can teach more effectively. Because uneducated people breed ignorance, crime, desperation, etc. All the characteristics that are hard to tolerate.

Also, how great would it be if retired persons volunteered in our schools, spending quality time with the children that are the future. What an opportunity to mentor and show them that someone does care and how important it is to be a contributing member to society.

And thereby, these village-raised children will stop the vicious cycle that plagues our communities.

NOT.... these village raised children have been taught at an early age that the laws don't pertain to them. childern learn from their parents right and wrong. coming here illegally puts into their minds that its okay to violate laws if its for your betterment. robbing banks would certainly make me better off.
if the parents are here illegally the whole family should be sent back to where they came from. that would promote family togetherness

First off, being here illegally makes them a criminal, so yes you can blame them for criminal activity. Many are hardworking and honest, but many are not, and since it's not easy to tell one from the other, how about we let the legal process of immigration figure it out? Just another reason why coming to America legally is the right thing to do.

I believe using the term "fled to the USA" is more accurate then you believe. Fled from whom? the law perhaps? If we were to have conditions like that we don't flee to Mexico, unless being chased by the law, we address the problem locally. I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who endures hardships and sometimes death for breaking the law in the first place. Again, go through the legal process and they would be less likely to endure hardships or death.

If our immigration process is too slow then you address that process, not break the law. If I'm in a line that is moving too slow does that give me the right to cut to the front? Only works for the people who care nothing for legal process and too lazy to do it right.

And no it doesn't take a village to raise a child, only parents who care enough to do their job. I don't want the village raising my kids.

If we had a better net for illegal immigrants we would need more teachers.
