| Anyone who believes that the Mexican government will ever operate for the betterment of their citizens is living in a dream world. The time it would require to make real change in Mexico would never come to fruition during their life time nor their children's. Where are your Christian morals and values? Where is your compassion for another human life? I too want them to register with US gov't and pay their fair share of taxes but the process has to be made easier and quicker. We're never going to able to "round them all up" and return them to Mexico. We're never going to be free from criminal activity because it is committed by the legals and the illegals. We will never be free of illegal immigrants. So why not make the effort to change their children's way of thinking and educate them to be contributors to society?!! It is the only solution to the problem. |

| Not a teacher. Not even in the education field. Just a person who understands the utmost importance of education. A professional in the business world. Most teachers deserve the pay they earn. It is one of the most important jobs on this planet. Without them, where would we be?! I'm a person who grew up extremely poor. Whose parents, who both had only an 8th grade education, worked themselves to the bone at more than one job each. A child raised by the village, whom had wonderful neighbors, a great school full of caring teachers, and schoolmates' caring parents, without those things I may not have grown up to be a positive contributor to society. My parents were too busy trying to put food on the table and clothing us, caring for their elderly parents to give us the attention that children need. I thank God for the village. And back then, the village was willing to support the youth, as I was able to attend a private Catholic school for free from which I greatly benefited from. I cannot look into the eyes of another human being that is truly trying, who are victims of their circumstances, and tell them they do not belong here. I know the illegal immigrants don't think like us, don't talk like us, don't look like us, which is hard to deal with. I think they rebel against the prejudice they encounter here and have become prejudice against us. But what if we reached out to them and made them feel accepted? I know my attitude would completely change and I would want to please my new found friends. I would want to emulate them and be a positive force in my community. Their culture is what most people find disturbing. We don't understand them nor do very many try. If they acted just like us and spoke just like us, they would be accepted - right? If they became a positive influence in the community, instead of indifferent, you would welcome that, right? What better way to accomplish that but to educate them?! I am truly lucky that I was born in the USA and do not have to fight for acceptance or for a better way of life. The billions still living in Mexico just haven't found the map to the USA yet. Thank you for debating with me. I always enjoy a good debate . . . and usually win. |

| There are still billions of them there? We can't afford all of them.

| You're right we can't afford all of them. But let's work with the ones that are here. Then maybe they would feel loyal to our country and work hard for this country. Maybe if we educate them, they will return to Mexico and make a difference there so they won't find it necessary to immigrate here. Many Americans are retiring to Mexico because it is so cheap. So if you truly need to feel better about illegal immigrants being here, then move to Mexico when you retire and benefit from their country. |

| No they are not honest. Honest people don't break laws.

| Yes. The second they stepped across the border without proper papers they broke the law.
