When these laws were enacted, the illegal immigrants left in droves, before leaving many (not all) destroyed the homes they were living in.

Some of the backlash is that the county suddenly had a surplus of homes for sale. The sudden excess caused the values of our homes to drop drastically and with the rise in interest rates for those who took variable rates their mortgage payments have increased to the point that we now have the largest number of homes in repossession.

There will always be an immediate cost when a large group of people leave an area but what you have to do is try to think LONG term.

Just read in the globe that the suspect in this case was arrested over the weekend. 43 year old Earl Washington was booked into the Ford County Detention Center on Saturday on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder and a warrant for failure to appear in Municipa Court. He had his first appearance on Monday and was appointed Mark Cowell as attorney. He was given a $100,000 bond. He faces a sentence of 96 to 107 months in prison if convicted. Victim is Anthony Vontress.

i think that this was a different stabbing. The one in the paper today happened this weekend. Although both in the same part of town.

Yeah after I went back and read the paper I saw that! I was trying to read and listen to my daughter at the same time! LOL
